Did you Know?

The Atheists and Freethinkers Society has a thriving facebook.com group? Join the group to show your pride. Then make sure to inform other members that freethinkers have a real student organization on campus.

Welcome to afsutd.org!

This is official website of the Atheists and Freethinkers Society at the University of Texas at Dallas. We are the first, and only, registered student organization on the UTD campus representing those with a naturalistic worldview.

Our group primarily consists of Atheists, Agnostics, Rationalists, Materialists, Skeptics and Secular Humanists. Approximately 14% of Americans—nearly 30 million individuals—have no religious beliefs. Are you one of them?

Please take the time to join our mailing list, and view information on joining the organization. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to contact us directly.

The God Who Wasn't There
TWO SCREENINGS, THURSDAY (Apr 19th) AND FRIDAY (Apr 20th) AT 10pm in MC 2.410 (Library, 1st floor):

Bowling for Columbine did it to the gun culture.

Super Size Me did it to fast food.

Now The God Who Wasn't There does it to religion.

Holding modern Christianity up to a bright spotlight, this bold and often hilarious new film asks the questions few dare to ask.

Your guide through the world of Christendom is former fundamentalist Brian Flemming, joined by such luminaries as Jesus Seminar fellow Robert M. Price, professor Richard Dawkins, author Sam Harris and historian Richard Carrier.

See the movie the Los Angeles Times calls "provocative - to put it mildly."

Hold on to your faith. It's in for a bumpy ride.
